Generally professional dancers that perform in companies such as the Russian Ballet Company, American Ballet Theatre, etc have to be physically a certain body shape, such as flat busted, small waisted, similar to that of a young boys body. Many large busted women still do ballet though. Depending on the type of leotard they are sometimes able to get away with wearing an ordinary sports bra found in normal clothing shops. Other bras are available such as special dancing bras that are low cut at the back so they can鈥檛 be seen if wearing a low cut leotard. Some bras also have clear straps which many dancers who need the support wear. Other times dancers wear body suits, which is a skin coloured suction tight type of leotard that is worn underneath a normal leotard. And as others have pointed out, some leotards have built in bras.

They usually don't... Just wear a sports bra if you need to.
if your bar is visible dont wear one but generally bras are hidden under your leotard, thats the case with mine. But if you're worried you can get leotards with a kind of bra bit underneath them so you dont have to wear a bra (if it shows)

girls who need support usually do. either sports bra, dance bra, or regular bra. they usually stick to leotards that will hide a bra.
I use it, and I think its the most comfortable. If you don't use you know, your busts will just jump around, and that is so annoying! But of course if you have a leotard with self-bra, then you wont need an extra. Good luck:)
They wear a ballet bra underneath their leotards. This is the bra that I use, and alot of my friends that go to my academy use this bra too.

Most ballet bras have a clear strap in the back so they wont show if you have a leotard that doesn't have a tank top back.
i do, first u need to get a skin coloured bra also known as a nuditard, its just a special bra that has clear straps and the main colour of the bra is skin coloured and there are no seams on the outside of the cup to forme ripples outside on the leotard.

if they have big boobs they do. or if they are wearing low cut leotards. butnever on stage in a performance because thats tacky. its up to them to get a leotard with a built-in bra.
