A ballet question.?

What do you think is the best (and easy way) to enhance your foot arch, and get on top of your pointe shoues better? Please help!!

A ballet question.?amc theatre

When you are just standing around, pointe over one foot and force your arch. If you don't know what I'm saying, just push over your pointe and make a C shape with your foot. You do not have to do this in pointe shoes. It really helps, I have naturally flat feet and have made them less flat. Push over your pointe as hard as you can when you are warming up at the barre.

A ballet question.?symphony opera theaterStick your feet in some therabands! While you point your feet it gives you resistance making your arches stronger. Report It

Hard arch supports in your shoes could help some. Sometimes I walk around in my jazz sneakers, because they have great arches. Make sure you don't wear flat shoes, because your arches can fall.

You can also try a Pro-Arch, but those are about $150.

Good luck!
I have really flat feet, and started pointe when I was older, so no chance of "enhancing" my arch. Talk to your teacher about having the shank of your shoes cut (or custom made with 3/4 shank). I also liked Gaynor Mindens for their support, but they're not so flexible for demi-pointe.
Well.... there is this device in a magazine I saw,"Dance Distributors", it is like fifty bucks or somethin, and you put it under a door, or somewhere it will hold the force of your foot. You slide your foot into a little sandle strap type thingy, and lower your legas far as you can go. The goal is to get your leg to the flloor . :)
