Do Ballet dancers use any props?

Sure they do. And they don't even have to tell a story. Balanchine's "Stars and Stripes" includes baton twirling and ballerinas bearing rifles.

Modern dance uses props too. The Momix company uses them heavily:

But so does Hubbard Street Dance Theater

Alvin Ailey

and more. Try getting out to see live dance performances more often!

of course! take a look at the nutcracker ballet!
Yes, especially in story ballets.
Usually.

Like in The Nutcracker or Swan Lake, Props are usually used to help move the story along.
yes lots of times. expecially in the nutcracker. At my dance studio we leared a ballet dance and used really pretty fans and it turned out really cute
it all depends on the dance. props are used to enhance a story and a ballet dance is a story made up of movements to music. props are more often used in theater ballets such as the nutcracker than dance recitals that most dance studios put on each year.
